1 28 oz. package paneer
1/2 cup green peas
2 onions, chopped
3 tomatoes, chopped
1 box/28 oz. roasted crushed tomatoes
1/4 cup greek yogurt (optional)
1 garlic head, minced
2 tbsp. ginger, grated
1 serrano pepper, minced
2 bay leaves
1 tsp. cumin seeds
1 large piece of cinnamon
1 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 1/2 tsp ground coriander
1 1/2 tsp. dry fenugreek
1 1/2 tsp. garam masala
3 cloves
1 tsp. honey
1 tbsp. olive oil
cilantro for garnish
salt and pepper to taste
- Heat oil in pan. Chop onions, garlic, and ginger then add to pan. Saute onions until soft.
- Add salt, cumin seeds, cinnamon, serrano pepper, turmeric, ground coriander, cayenne pepper, and bay leaves. Add fresh tomatoes and crushed tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add ground cumin, garam masala, cloves, and honey then cook for 5 more minutes.
- Add peas, fenugreek, and paneer and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add yogurt and allow to cook until peas are tender. Add more salt and pepper as needed. Garnish with cilantro. Serve with naan or paratha.
